Zosha Kaya Kandel, Research Assistant
Zosha Kandel is a research assistant at the Public Health Institute's Center for Research on Adolescent Health and Development, and an undergraduate in her final year at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in public health and minoring in public policy. Her research interests include peer health education programs and adolescent access to reproductive health services.
Kandel has focused much of her coursework and volunteer time on the topics of health education and sexual health. She is a peer health educator and a member of the Leadership Council for Peer Health Exchange, and has taught workshops in decision-making and communication, sexual decision-making, and rape and sexual assault to high school freshman. Kandel is currently completing an honors thesis for the undergraduate public health program.
