Leena Singh, MPH, Research Associate
Leena Singh is a Research Associate with PHI's Center for Research on Adolescent Health and Development. She provides research and organizational support to evaluation, research, and policy work related to adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
Singh has over six years of experience in education and training for comprehensive sexuality education, youth development programs and adolescent sexual health services. She was previously a health educator at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, has worked with the peer education department at NARAL Pro-Choice NY, and participated in sexuality education curriculum development and evaluation at a reproductive health-focused NGO in central India. Prior to PHI, Singh worked at the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy on the Youth First project, a CDC-funded community-wide teen pregnancy prevention initiative in MA. In this role, she provided training and technical assistance to clinical providers and youth-serving professionals on evidence-based practices for teen pregnancy prevention.
Singh holds a bachelor of arts in biology and Spanish from UC Berkeley. She received her Master of Public Health degree with a sexual health track focus from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.
