Effectiveness of a Bullying and Peer Sexual Harassment Prevention Program for Elementary School Children

(This project was based at WestEd). Committee for Children's Steps to Respect is a comprehensive bullying and sexual harassment prevention program with three levels of curricula for children in grades 3-6. The program is based on a social and emotional development model, and involves classroom curricula together with teacher, counselor, administrator, and parent components. We developed, pilot tested, and field tested a student survey to measure behaviors and other factors related to bullying, sexual harassment, and social and emotional development.
